Who is SEWFITS? Sewfits.com is merely the business umbrella, so to speak, that shelters Ana’s Accoutremonts™, Ruth’s Custom Sewing™ and RK Tailoring™. Nothing else has changed but the name and the décor. When you call, you will still speak with the same person you’ve come to know and trust over the years. How did you come up with SEWFITS? We conducted extensive market research and testing and decided that it represented our corporate concept and evoked the qualities we value in the minds of our target market. (NO!!! Don’t look at the little man behind the screen! I am Oz, the Great and Terrible….!!!) Sounds good, don’t you think?
Um, well, actually, when we first applied for a toll free number, we wanted one that spelled something vaguely related to the sewing business, and after going through 80 others that were already taken, we found 1-888-SEW-FITS. So when we needed a dot com in a hurry because our cheap server was sold and shut down, we used sewfits.com, since nobody can spell anasaccoutremonts.com or even pronounce it. Now we have a trademark also on the name Sewfits™, so we’re stuck.
